Sophomore left-hander Cody Schlagel has been named to the Mid-Florida All-Conference Team. The Southern Mississippi recruit was a mainstay for the Falcons out of the bullpen leading the team with six saves and a 2.23 ERA.

Pitchers Barry Rooks, Daley Cox, and Kyle Neal have received national honors for their combined no-hitter against FCCJ on March 17th.
Falcon Baseball promotes first player from Developmental Program.
Daytona Beach- Daniel Gibson is the first player to be promoted from the Developmental Team to the Falcon squad for the spring of 2008. Gibson was a standout catcher at Atlantic High School in Port Orange. Developmental Head Coach, Taylor Childress says, “Daniel worked extremely hard this fall and his promotion is well deserved. Gibson is just another example of the success we are having with Falcon Development at DBC.”

National Academic Team-Of-The-Year continues classroom success
Daytona Beach- After being honored by the NJCAA as the 2006-2007 Baseball National Academic Team -Of-The-Year, the Falcon baseball team continues to set high marks in the classroom.

The Falcon players finished the 2007 fall semester with a team G.P.A. of 3.52, with over 20 team members posting a 3.0 or higher. The Falcons hope to continue their academic success when classes begin for the spring semester on Monday, January 14th.
